Communicating and sharing the science that we are pursuing in the laboratory setting is a vital part of promoting science literacy and understanding. Therefore, we are constantly working to provide formal and informal opportunities for researchers to reach out to their families, friends and peers to talk about what we do in the lab. Here are examples of some of our outreach efforts:
NSF-PGRP "potato" summer outreach

Science Educational Equity (SEE) program at Sacramento State to participate in potato research at the University of California, Davis for 8 weeks. This program will be active for three years, beginning Summer of 2016.
